Our Lady of the Lake Foundation Working with you to
grow and preserve a legacy of health, hope and quality of life for the Greater
Baton Rouge area.
Our Lady of the Lake Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization
established in 1985 by the Franciscan Missionaries and Our Lady of the Lake
Regional Medical Center to preserve the vision and the quality of health
services provided by the hospital. Together, Our Lady of the Lake Foundation and
Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center are dedicated to Baton Rouge and
the surrounding communities through a powerful mission: To extend the healing
ministry of Jesus Christ to God?s people, especially those most in need.
To that end, and through the generous contributions and fundraising efforts
of like-minded individuals, corporations, community organizations and other
private entities, the Foundation has been able to provide millions of dollars to
the Medical Center, which in turn offers a premier healthcare experience for all
patients, regardless of their condition or ability to pay. Specifically,
Foundation endowments have supplied the resources to fund purchases of some of
the latest equipment and technology and training for medical personnel in areas
such as cardiology, nursing, elderly services, pediatrics, oncology, mental
health and emergency services. Foundation funds have also made available
numerous community health education services and financial resources to patients
who cannot afford their health care and related expenses.

Giving now is more important than ever Since its modest
beginning in 1923, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center has grown to be
the largest private medical center in Louisiana, and more importantly, a
healthcare leader in our state. As a result of the recent natural disasters in
our area, it is also now servicing in the largest population in Louisiana.
During this transition time for Baton Rouge and our surrounding areas, it is now
more important than ever to work even harder to ensure continued exceptional
healthcare to all those currently, and perhaps permanently, living in our
area. Your contributions will help us preserve the legacy of the Franciscan
Missionaries.
How can I help? The Foundation raises funds in several
different ways. We coordinate and host more than 40 special events each year,
highlighted by our Annual Foundation Gala, the Karnival Krewe de Louisiane Mardi
Gras Ball and our Children's Hospital & Children's Miracle Network
Campaigns. Your participation in these events as a volunteer, contributor or
participant is always welcome and appreciated. We also accept memorials and
honorariums, many types of deferred and planned gifts and have several endowed
funds. If you are interested in supporting us or would like to learn more about
Our Lady of the Lake Foundation, please contact us directly. Our staff is ready
to assist you as you decide which of these options best meets your philanthropic
goals.
